half of the plugs will be on the left, and half on the right of the engine. You will find a cable going in between the exhaust heads, those cables go to the plugs.
Use a plug puller to reomve the caps with out damaging them,
then remove the spark plugs with a socket designed for spark plugs, then verify the proper gap on the new spark plugs
install the new plugs,
place the caps back in the same spot they came from
the caps should make a clicking noise if they seat right.
happens mostly in reverse at very low speed. change spark plugs to an ngk, increese gap by 0.01 and advance distributer about 1 or 2 digrees to increase idle from around 800 to 850 or 900.
Frank, look under your hood for a "catalyst" sticker. It should have your spark plug gap listed on that sticker along with the size of your motor, etc. Some of the newer vehicles aren't listing it there anymore, but it should also be listed in your owners manual in your glove box - if you still have it. Check the alphabetic index in the back for spark plug gap and if it's not there, check specifications.
