05 Sierra 4x4 wont shift into OD until it has warmed up for a while, this only happens when there are sub freezing temps, is this a problem, and if so what should i do??

This is normal on newer vehicles. The transmission temperature is monitored and overdrive is held off until the transmission is up to temp. Nothing unusual or wrong with this. My Tundra does the same thing. The trans temp gauge gets to about the 1/4 mark before the overdrive kicks in.

This is like a check engine light for your transmission. Something is slipping or out of its values. Get it checked out with a code reader.
