If it will not switch to any different positions, and you did not have this problem prior to repair.Check for a leaking vacuum line to the control unit. The line should run through the firewall to the control unit.Good Luck!!!

SOURCE: HVAC vent selector does not function. Air flow is

THe blend door seems to be stuck. When you change settings from defrost to floor air or, vent, the blend door opens and closes directing the air to the place you want it to go to. I have had some success spraying a lubricating oil such as WD40 under the dash on the blend door. You need to get under the dash with a flashlight to locate it. It looks like a flap. Spray it with a couple of shots of the WD40. Go easy on the spraying as you may be inhaling the fumes. Keep the doors and windows open to minimize the fumes. Wait about 1/2 hour and try the A/C functions. (defrost, floor, vent air)

SOURCE: 2002 New VW Beetle is only blowing hot air out of

My 03 conv. beetle did the same thing .My cousins 02 coupe also . He told me it was a lever on the bottom of the heater unit that switches between hot and cold. The problem is the lever falls down out of the unit .More cheesy ''engineering''. I fixed mine by cutting a short piece of copper pipe centered over the screw to prop up the lever in postion .That was about a year ago. Been working great ever since . The best i remember i took the glove box and the cover at the very front of the console out .You should be able to see it then.

Why is heater not blowing hot air on 99 chevy blazer

if the fan blower is working then it must be the heater valve inline with the heater hoses. Or the selector on the dash has broken and is not connected at the back. You have tried everything else. You were correct in what you wrote above and have tried so far

Heater works well on the dash, AC but does not blow to the floor why?

Check the linkages by the accelerator. Move the selector from one position to another, give it time to react and watch if the linkages are moving and they are hooked up, if not it may be that the problem is internal and the doors that distribute the air to the floor fell or are jammed. Did any fluid leak into the vent, pop, coffee or the like. This could make it stick and to fix it will require time and patience to clean it up. Even cigarette smoke will eventually gum up these doors.

On my 1995 chevy blazer s-10 my face vents are not blowing air

Your heater valve is stuck open, also in a pinch you can crimp off your hose to the heater coil at fire wall. Try to find the heater valve vacumb hose under the hood see if it is bad and fixit. or some models have a cable to the valve could be broken.
