If the compressor is not moving. ( you should hear a clicking sound) then. your system is empty of freon. this means you had a leak and now dirt is inside. look for a replacement. ( junk yard. no more than 50.00 dollars) if you take it out yourself. get a return guarantee if it does not work. good luck.

The selector doors are the problem. There are doors in almost all air systems on almost all vehicles that are either electronically controlled or vacuum controlled. These doors can wear out, break, servo motors go bad, there are a number of issues that control the doors but usually its the cheap plastic shaft on the door that strips out and no longer works. Blower motors are rarely to blame. Although these doors are simple in construction and can be easy to fix, getting to them is a whole other issue. You have to tear your whole dash and air box apart. Not fun, but its gotta be done.
