I have a 2001 ford windstar i both two new axle and wheel bearing it was makeing noise that problem stop but the right axle spin slower then the lefted when i manual spin the tire the both wheels spin together the right way but soon the right axle spin slow down and just spin bit by bit but the left spin good.. what can be the problem do i need to rebuild the tran..
I don't think you can assess the condition of the transaxle by spinning the wheels.
The differential in the transaxle converts power from the transmission to the wheels by a set of gears. It would almost impossible for one side to turn at a different speed than the other.
You may have more drag on the brakes on one wheel, or the fluid in the transaxle could cause one side to go slower with the van off the ground.
Thanks Stephen for your help. but that what it do when i have the min van on the jack and i put the van in D or R so i can see it spin. it spin very fast on the lefted wheel but the right wheel it spin slow but when i manual help spin the wheel it spin insink with both wheel like it should ,but not for long it slow down then bit by bit spin it not the brakes i put a new master on it and check the brake and beed them two time and when i spin them i feel no drag and spin very good .but i see that you sad min van have a tran axle fuild i only know of that it have transmission fuild if so where to put that tran axle fuild at i thort it mit be the chain in the tran i look on you tube and see the the tran have a chain and gear i thort the chain mit be lose or some thing.

SOURCE: I have a ford f 150 4x4, that the Passager front
If this is a 2005 F-150 4x4. Usually if there is movement up and down, itmight possibly be the lower ball joints and not the wheel bearing, to verify that it is indeed bearing play you can grab a hold of your tire (with tire of the ground) and try and move it side to side instead of up and down. If you can still feel the movement then it is the wheel bearing. To get to the wheelbearing you will first have to remove the tiny center dust cap in the middle of the wheel. There should be a 13mm bolt you will need to remove under that cap. Next you will have to remove the brake caliper and caliper bridge, then remove the brake rotor. On the backside of the knuckle assembly you will see 4 bolts that hold the hub assembly (your wheel bearing) on. There also may be a plastic ring around the back of the hub assembly too that has vacuum lines running to it for the vacuum hub, this will be held on by 4 or so 8mm bolts, once all these bolts and the4 bolts holding the actuall hub assembly on are removed, you should be able to remove the hub (bearing) assembly from the front of the knuckle assy. Hope this helps.
SOURCE: Front End noise and vibration
Check the U-joints and axle baerings. But its most likely because the truck is in four wheel drive.
SOURCE: noise in front end, sounds
You say the rear wheel axles and bearings have been replaced, you mention nothing of the front wheels, you have the symptoms of a front wheel bearing being worn out, remove them and check for pitting in the bearing rollers or the bearing races, I am sure you will find a problem. Hope this helps solve your issue with the bearing noise.
SOURCE: Rear Axle Bearing
i know for a fact that the bearing comes with the hub., and if the old bearing is badly damage you may need to heat it to remove it from the axel...so this may be a rather big job if your not equipt
with torch or other ...

It the front axle not the rear .. I both two new wheel hubs and axle the right axle was makeing noise and not spining when i had the 2001 windstar on the jack lifted up so i change them all the axles and wheelhubs but when i have the min van on the jack seeing if both wheelk will spin only the left one spin good and the right on spin slow but if i spin the wheel by my hand some then both wheel spin like it should and then the right wheel slow down then bit by bit spin it do not have 4 wheel drive.. is it the tranmission i thinking but the min van drive very good shift find but it feel like only one wheel pulling all the weight.. and look like it..
