If you are talking about the A/C drain hose??? It is hard to find and get too!!! I have a 2002 Mitsubishi Montero Limited. The ac drain hose is in the center of the vehicle more on the drivers side. Looking from under the hood you will see a white clip that holds 4 lines. The hose is about a foot and a half down, white stub sticking out half an inch. If you are looking under the vehicle it is more on the drivers side but still in the center. The heart hose might be in the way from seeing it, just pull down on it and u should see it coming out of the firewall. That is for the front ac.

Air conditioner blows heat, conditioner was charged, freon, checked relay switch, fuse, door blend alol fine still hot air, was told maybe a block in V shape hose is it temp control value Help

Only way to tell if A/C Evaporator Core Orifice tube is plugged is by looking at A/C gauge readings , An if it is plugged you more then likely need a new compressor , they become plugged with metal particles from worn out compressor. Your best bet would be to take your vehicle to a qualified repair shop .

How to replace a 1999 toyota camry 4 cylinder heater core

Instructions
    • Drain the Camry's engine coolant, using a clean container for reuse. Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait a minute and a half for the airbag system to de-energize. Discharge and recover the air conditioner refrigerant.
    • 2Disconnect air conditioner suction hose and liquid pipe, then clamp on the tubes with an SST clamp. (Make sure you don't deform the tube). Disconnect the heater core hoses.

    • 3Disassemble every component of the dashboard, starting with the steering wheel and column. Removal includes the door scuff plates, cowl side trim, console panels and air bags. You'll need a second person's help to remove the dashboard from the interior.
    • 4Remove or disconnect all air ducts, the heater blower assembly, lower defroster nozzles, air conditioning radiator assembly. Remove the mode damper servo sub-assembly and Airmix damper servo sub-assembly, then remove the core from the air conditioner assembly.
    • 5Install the replacement heater core into air conditioner assembly. Reassemble all components of the heating/air conditioning unit, dashboard and dashboard components. Connect the heater core and A/C suction and pressure hoses, lubricating the O-rings with compressor oil.
    • 6Attach the negative battery cable, fill the cooling system and evacuate and recharge the air conditioner. Start up the engine and check for leaks in the system.

The air conditioning in my 2005 T&C stopped working. Right before it stopped there was a "burnt" smell coming through the vents. What happened?

No air coming from air conditioning vents
  1. Check the air conditioner fuse and replace as necessary.
  2. Air conditioner system discharged. Have the system evacuated, charged and leak tested by an MVAC certified technician, utilizing approved recovery/recycling equipment. Repair as necessary.
  3. Air conditioner low pressure switch defective. Replace switch.
  4. Air conditioner fan resistor pack defective. Replace resistor pack.
  5. Loose connection, broken wiring or defective air conditioner relay in air conditioning electrical circuit. Repair wiring or replace relay as necessary. Air conditioner has a smell when used
    1. The air conditioner evaporator drain hose is blocked or partially restricted, allowing condensation to build up around the evaporator and drainage tray. Clear the drain hose where it exits the passenger compartment.
    2. Check compressor clutch wiring, electrical connections and compressor clutch, and repair or replace as necessary.

Air conditioner hose burst and my mechanic claims its going to cost over 1000 to fix it. Why so much for a air conditioner hose?

You need to go to another mechanic, hes taking you for a ride, on your money, this should not cost more the $300.00, don't let him do this job.

VOLVO 740 1987 AIR CONDITIONER PROBLEM

This is a control problem usually with a vacumn air supply system. Check under the hood for any small cracked hoses and loose fitting hoses on thier connectors. The other control hoses are behind the dashboard and not easily accessable. You go into the dash or find someone who can.
