The fuel pump fuse and the relay are under the hood in the relay center, check them they are clearly marked.

SOURCE: How do I remove the rear axle to replace the seal 1996 jimmy

You will have to remove the differential cover on the rear end, in the center of the gear cluster you'll have to rotate your axle until it exposes the ends of the axle shafts, push in the axles as far as you can from the brake pad assembly area, then, there this a C clips that slips into a groove on the end of the axle, you'll have to reove the C clip to pull out the axle.

1996 gmc jimmy 4.3 v6 hard starting on cold starts runs rough for alittle while and sometimes has a high idle.

You should have your fuel pressure checked the problem is one of two things It is either your fuel pump or your fuel pressure regulator. It goes to high idle because it is starving for fuel.

I have a 1996 GMC Jimmy. Fuel pump replaced (new) and still do not here the pump kick on. Can start and runs fine if Throttle body is primed with gas. Is there a relay? where?

yes, there is a relay, probably in the engine compartment battery relay box. If the relay fails, oil pressure will allow the pump to run, so the relay is likely to be your problem.

96 GMC Jimmy starts okay but dies after about 10 minutes. It will start again after sitting for awhile, then dies again. Have changed the fuel filter and pump...any other ideas?

If you have replaced the fuel pump and filter I would still check the pump pressure when it wants to die. Check for any trouble codes in the system also.

1996 gmc jimmy

MOST LIKELY THE FUEL PUMP HAS FAILED, WHEN U TURN THE KEY TO RUN POSITION DO U HEAR A HUMMING NOISE FROM THE FUEL TANK? THIS NOISE WILL STOP IN ABOUT 5 SECONDS, U CAN HEAR IT BETTER BY TAKING OFF THE GAS CAP AND LISTENING THERE, IF U HEAR NOTHING THEN THE PUMP WILL HAVE TO BE REPLACED.
