I have a 2007 Ford 500. Never had a problem..till the car started shaking on acceleration..my RPMs were not going over 1500 for a while, very slow take off. My engine light was blinking for about 20 sec. then it didn't come on anymore..any ideas?

have your spark plugs, coil pack boots checked for moisture,on many ford water will accumulate around plugs, expeually if it has rained recently.

You need to Replace the Catalytic Converter. That is what you are Smelling. It has Clogged up and will also Cause the Light on the Dash Problem. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

I have the same car. So far no problems with the Transmision. I had the Trans oil change out every 60 K
Sure sounds like you need to get the Transmision checked. Is the fault light on. I have invested ina fault code reader sure is worth it.
Good luck. Vilmos

sounds like a large vacuum hose was knocked off the engine when they pulled the trans out, have that checked.
