The oil pump can be changed without pulling the engine.
The impressive looking thing is the balance shaft assembly. These counter-rotating shafts balance out the inherent vibration of the engine. You can remove it, as long as you do not disrupt the gear placements relationship to each other. The balance assembly is set to a specific point.

dont run it anymore!!!
check oil is reaching the rockers & that there are no blocked feeed holes !
the pump may have been fitted too loose or the gaket is not sealing creating a pressure drop!
it may have some of the old bearing material enter the gallery,s & or the pump!
good luck Cheers Rob

It may be a coincidence but try replacing the oil pressure-sending unit if it does not change try changing back to the original oil

It would be cam bearings not main bearings, check with a manual guage first, if you had no oil pressure your enging would be making metal to metal knocking noises and then seize up... Suggestion at the time you remove a oil galley plug with engine off, then disconnect coil wire from ign so engine will not start then have someone help bump the starter and crank engine over while you watch for oil flow from engine block... Check flow then insert manual oil pressure guage...

Sounds to me like the Throttle Position Sensor. Thats usually what makes the throttle "rev" But that is not going to make the oil pressure drop. Pull the codes from your car and look them up online. sometimes there is an extra fuse u can add to your panel and turn the key on and it will flash your codes via the check engine light. i.e. if the light flashes 2 times then small pause then 1 time and long pause that is code 21. if there isnt a extra fuse you can usually jump it with a paperclip and pull the codes. not really sure how to do that with yours. but im positive Google knows ;)
