While driving, power steering ceased working, while battery light came on with message "Check Charging System" + temperature light came on with message "Check Engine Temperature" + engine chugging + fluid leakage

Hello, please advice if you found any solution for this? /our 97 Continental just started doing the same thing....

change the drive belt and have the voltage regulator in the back of the alternator checked out and also check for any draws on the car anywhere cause this can cause the alternator to over charge trying to keep the battery charged up

Checking the level of the power steering is a good start. The pump is mechanical, driven by the serpentine belt, and cannot be turned off. Your steering may seem normal but if you let it go, low fluid can destroy the pump.

Is the fluid full enough? there should be a dipstick to tell where the level should be. Also is the belt tight enough? Wires loose?

If so your thermostat isn't opening the coolent valve to engine & needs checking &/or replacement. Keep pets away from antifreeze they like the taste & it kills them.
