Loud tapping noise under hood of my 06 chrysler 300c

There is loud tapping noise uner the hood of my 2006 chrysler 300c it sounds like its coming from the engine but im thinking its a loose valve cover or something that has to do with that can anybody answer that? if so what should i do?

    yes the noise is a constant tick, tick noise that is very annoying for a chrysler

    99 Chrysler 300m, After I purchased the car from a dealer"not mentioned but glad to if someone cares: I took the car back 4 times within a year, same problem every time, they fixed it every time, & the Tick is back again. I think there fix may be to overfill the oil level,but I'm not sure. Ready to get rid of this car. The Tick is very annoying if not embarrassing. Chrysler, or a Dealer needs to tell us there secret.

A light but audible tapping under the hood that accelerates when you step on the gas.
Sounds like something in the valvetrain, a lifter or rocker arm. Could be from lower oil. Is it a metallic sound? Is the noise coming from a certain area of the motor?

Where is the ac filter in my 2006 300c, i want to change it out ?
If it is equipped with the cabin air filter it is located on the passenger side air inlet screen which comes off and you will see the cover and filter very visible.
