You cannot switch it off. You would have to remove the fuse in your fuse panel that covers the entire air bag system.

If you disconnect the wiring to the pax side air bag you will have issues with the air bag system so leave it alone.

If you have a fault with the pax side air bag then you need to have it fixed. Otherwise leave it alone.

Sounds to me like one of the air bag sensors may have tripped, causing the airbag computer to think the vehicle has been wrecked. Take the vehicle to a dealership and have them reset the air bag sensors to get rid of the light.

First of all you need to get this problem fixed ASAP. While the airbag light is illuminated, your SDM (Sensing and Diagnostic Module aka: the brain of your airbag system) shuts of power to the airbags. In which, if you are in an accident your airbags will not deploy while this light is illuminated. You need to take your vehicle to a GM dealership. A Tech 2 scantool is needed to retrieve the code from the SDM. Hopefully it won't be a costly repair, but is something that defineatly needs to be corrected soon. Good luck and hope all works well.

This is a signal of a bad abs sensor. replace the abs sensor asap.

Air bag sensor got knocked loose and either needs to be replaced or needs to be re mounted. You may have to take it to a dealership to get them to figure out which one has gone

i have a Daewoo Matiz 2000. It doesn't have Power Steering although other models of Matiz came with Power steering. I want to know if a Power steering can be installed on my Matiz. If so, whom can I contact.
