I shut my car off and left the lights on for about 2 minutes, and when I tried to start the car it would just crank and not ignite. So, I turned off the ignition and the blower fan to cool the engine just kept running. I tried the ignition again... it would crank but not start, and the blower fan kept running. I tried this a couple more times and finally when I turned the ignition off the fan stopped. The next day I disconnected the battery for a while, reconnectd and tried starting again... now no crank and the 4 ways came on and the car alarm was going off??? they shut off after about 45sec. I used the remote and locked and unlocked the door a few times. I tried starting again, now while jumping the battery because it was low, all the goofy electrical stuff stopped, it would crank but now ignition. Where do I start? Thanks

Try removing the alarm system relay, some car alarm has also a fuse on the alarm that you can remove.
Many car alarms unlock by inserting and turning car key while you connect the battery.

the starter should be replaced. The solenoid is kikcing the pinion out but there is no contact being made to turn the starter motor. I have the exact same truck and before i changed the starter used the old starter tap trick. Tap the starter casing with a hammer and it should start turning again. hope this was helpful for you. Good luck.

The Alarm on my Mercedes ML320 sounded every night, then it started doing it more often, Showed it to the dealer he says it's the 'Tow Sensor', that needs to be repaced. $700, down the drain. I have already started hating this car, it eats $500-600, every 6 months...

This alarm system can only be 'disarmed' using the keyless remote programmed for this specific vehicle. Press the "Unlock" button on the keyless remote -- this resets/disarms the alarm system. If you do not have keyless remote for this vehicle, get one and have it programmed at a Hyundai Service Center. Problem solved.
