Problem is having to reset the sensor when I shouldn't have to. For what this car cost, there shouldn't be goofy things like this wrong!
Hi Sandra, The oil service light in the vehicle has been preset at the factory to 5000 intervals for use with mineral oils. The engine does not know the difference between the oils. Ask your service center if the warning is adjustable for use with synthetic oil. There is no problem (except financial) in changing the oil every 5000 instead of ten, in fact it will help maintain the engine in better condition. Best regards John
Hi, yes the car is set for 5000 for change
change every 5000 with good regular oil- save money AND CAR WILL RUN BETTER!!
OIL DOES 4 THINGS
1 CLEANS
2 COOLS
3 PREVENTS FRICTION
4 PREVENTS RUST
synthetic oil is good but it will not perform all 4 tasks as it gets old and dirty- keep the money where it belongs, in your pocket!!!

You can Safely Convert over to Full Synthetic and it will be Just Fine. It will actually be Better for the Higher Mileage Motor. Just make for sure that you Drain all of the Old oil out as Possible Before you refill with the Synthetic. A Little Mix will not Hurt the Motor at all. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!
