Toyota corolla seca 2007, dash lights and tail lights don't always work

These are separate circuits, so check the tail light fuse. If the dash lights work check the bulbs and if ok suspect the switch.

you blew a fuse. check fuses in both fuse boxes..
ahh yes, the IP cluster lamps are dad, but not the idiot warning lights
only the parking lights in the cluster are dead. right.?
and the park-tail, running lights and dash dim lights are all the same.
my guess three is a short on the TAIL fuse, the TAIL fuse blew
and took out: park-tail, running lights and dash dim lights are all the same.
it blew. most are marked tail even thought it runs side lamps and front parking lamps... TAIL is wrong, they are parking. lamps it truth.

change your dimmer light switch and check the "tail" fuse

With headlights on, try to start the car.
While engaging the starter: Do the lights dim? Do you hear anything? If so, what do you hear?

Check for bad earth connection at light .or a broken wire connector

The circuits are on two different fuses, but both are controlled by the headlight switch. I would check for power at those fuses then at the switch.

Workshop manual or youtube , I would try youtube first and put in the same words and go through all the answers ps youtube is my bible for things like this good luck colin

the tail light fuse is located in the main fuse panel, on the drivers side lower dash board

I had the same issues. Dash dead, tail lights dead. Fuses were fine, Dimmer relay was fine...So I got to the Tail Light Relay.

Removed the glove box, one screw on the right. Reach up (above the space where the glove box 'area' would be and there are 3 or 4 relays all sitting on top of a junction box. All of them were loose. I pushed them in...and voila! I was getting scared after the obvious.

If you put your foot on the brake, the tail lights and parking lights will still come on. Possibly your brake is sticking. Check to see if it is and if it is put WD40 for a quick fix. See a tech for them to fix your brake alignment. Good Luck!
