I tried reset options in manual but the security light inside the car flashes every few seconds. What does it mean, and should I try to get it to stop?
How do i reset the security system
It flashes due to a problem i the systems sensors. You must have the dealer scan the system to see what the faulty area is that is causing the light to flash indicating a fault.

sounds like your passlock sensor on the ignition barrel is faulty. you will have to go to the dealer to have it replaced because of the programming after replacement.

that is your security light. it means there is a problem with your anti theft system. car will need to be scanned tested to see what code is being set

Looks like the TDM in the security system (VATS/PassKey) is having problems, it can get worse till the car wont start anymore. You can find a great write-up here: http://newrockies.ca , it was the only thing that saved my Park Avenue.
To reset the oil monitoring system to 100% after each oil change
[approximately 5,000 miles (8,000 km) or 180 days] perform the
following:
1. Select this function from the
SETUP control for current display
mode.
2. Press and release the RESET
control to display "HOLD RESET
TO CONFIRM".
3. Press and hold the RESET
control to display OIL LIFE SET TO
100%. Your oil life is now reset.
