2003 Chevy suburban dies while driving

I changed the fuel pump, and the fuel filter, and truck engine still dies. I turn it off and wait a few minutes, then it starts back up, and allows me to continue to drive it for a few miles or more. What is the problem?

1993 chevy suburban cranks but wont start, no injection pulse

Have you looked at fuel pump and fuel filter? Turn key to first position and have someone near fuel tank. They should hear the pump cycle.

2003 suburban starts and dies while driving, no codes read amd no engine lights on

check the fule presure on the injector rail is a what looks like a car tyre valve connect a gauge up to this or buy one ,i use a old AC filler pipe for one of them gas can things with the end changed to a tyre valve pump end and it works ok better than paying a lot of money for one ,should read 55lbs and if the pressure drops then suspect the gauze filter on the bottom of the pump first before you replace it as its a complete unit and around 600euros as its only available from the dealer

My 2003 Suburban takes two cranks to start the engine. However, if its colder and I turn the key to the first position and hold it for 5 seconds it will usually start on the first crank? Do you know...

This is more than likely related to the electric fuel pump or something downstream in the fuel system. turning the key on and wating a few seconds before starting allows the pump to pressurize the system. Might also be a bad fuel filter, but the key here is keying up and waiting and then a immediate start, that is what leads me to this solution.

Hope this helps.

I always key up and wait a second or two on all my vehicles, to pressurize the system, then turn the engine over. I have learned this is good practice with any vehicle I have owned..

Hope this helps.

Dies when under load or on long trips

fuel pump?? try unplugging the mas air flow sensor. its a 3 wire sensor in the air snorkle to the engine. They get dirty and cause it to run rough. Its very common

2001 cavalier died while driving, now it wont start

Could be failed fuel pump. Disconnect fuel line at engine and turn over a couple times having something to catch gas in. If electric pump don't turn over engine, just turn key to run position for a few seconds. Maybe clogged fuel filter or faulty pump if no gas shows. Change fuel filter and try again. If none, change pump.

92 Chevy Suburban Electrical Fuel System

Check fuel flter at fuel pick-up intank (looks like a small wire sock). Remove fuel filter and fitting at fuel rail. Blow out fuel lines w/about 35lbs air press. Ck electrical @ relay - should be 4 connectors - one is key on hot/one is always hot/one is ground and last is hot to fuel pump. Good Luck

You need to check the Ignition System. Plugs, Wires, Dist. Cap. If these are Ok, You Probably need to Check the Fuel Pump and Filter. Let me Know!
