1994 Audi 90 CS no crank, engine ok, battery ok, starter is getting juice.

All of a sudden came out and the car will not crank. Dash lights come on, checked the engine, battery and starter and all seem fine.

I would have the cooling fan checked, and have the thermostat changed. An overheated thermostat (overheating caused by something else) will cause problems in the future.

SOURCE: 1995 AUDI 90 CS - Hard to start... spark & fuel OK

Have you tried replacing the starter? I know starters can go bad if the car is not started or run for a long time.

I am getting the same car, with the same issue.. it sat for 2 yrs and won't start.

My mechanic told me it is probably a starter.

SOURCE: audi 100cs does not crank and does not start

If you have acess to a mutimeter check the batery voltage. Should be around 12.5 volts. also check batery voltage when trying to crank engine. Should drop to 9volts while cranking. If it dose but engine dose not turn over you know power is still going to the starter motor but its just not turning. This could be a bad conection in the starter some where.if voltage dose not drop you know power is not reaching the starter motor. this could be a bad earth to the starter from the baterty somewhere. But also listen for clunking or clicking noices while cranking which would surgest the starter is trying to turn. try this before doing any other diagnostics.hope this helps

I changed the starter and it still will not start

Can you tell us what happens when you try to start it? Is there any noise at all? If there is no noise (no cranking) be sure you:
1. Have a strong battery (this is the most common issue). Your battery may seem like it has power because it will light the lights/radio etc. but that doesn't mean it has enough juice to crank the engine. Try a jump start with a known good battery and see if it starts. If it does, you need a new battery. Once you have verified your battery is good be sure to verify that your alternator is working correctly. You should have at least 14.5v at the battery when the engine is running
2. Check all your fuses
3. Verify you are getting 12v at the starter when you try to start it. If not, then there is an electrical issue somewhere between the ignition switch and the starter.

Jeep liberty 2008

turn on the headlights and try to crank the engine; if the lights dim out while you try to crank, then the starter is ok but the battery is too weak. just turning on the lights does not mean that the battery has enough juice to crank the engine; a starter pulls a lot more than lights. If the headlights do not dim out and it still won't crank, then the starter or a connection to the starter is your problem.

Car won't start. My guess is either ignition or perhaps starter. Battery has plenty of juice and fuses on fuse panel all look good.

IF YOU TURN IGNITION SWITCH ON POSITION GET NO DASH LIGHTS RESPONSE.IGNITION SWITCH IS BAD.IF YOU ARE GETTING DASH LIGHTS.YOUR STARTER SOLENOID OR STARTER IS BAD.THE STARTER REAY IS BAD OR FAULTY CLUTCH PEDAL SWITCH FOR MANUAL TRANSMISSION OR TRANSMISSION PARK NEUTRAL SWITCH OR SHIFT SENSOR BAD.THESE ARE THE POSSIBLE CAUSES.

Starter motors good but wont turn over my1982 lincoln continental

When you say the starter motor runs, do you mean it runs fast but does not turn the engine, in that case it may be something to do with starter not engaging the ring gear.

If when the starter runs it turns the engine slowly then it could be starter is not getting enough power.

The reasons for starter motor not getting enough power can be, a bad battery, loose battery connector, stiff engine or a bad starter solenoid.
To check a bad battery, turn your head lights on and when you try to crank the engine, if the light go dim, you have a bad battery or a bad battery connection. If the lights are not affected you may have a stiff engine.

2004 KIA RIO-ENGINE WILL NOT CRANK

I would guess starter fuse first, then starter. When you turn key, if you don't hear a click, you should focus your attention on the fuse first and then the starter. If you hear a click, then most likely (80%) its the starter solenoid. try to start the car in neutral to rule out the neutral safety switch...good luck
