Hiya
The factory install block heater wire harness around the air filter unit area (IF it's equipped with this block heater feature)
IF it's the wire you're searching for to plug it into the electric outlet, here's how to...
Pop open the hood as you stand in front to raise the hood, look for the black square-shaped air filter unit at the left-front side just behind the passenger side headlight area.
There's a black plastic clamp that holds the block heater wire harness onto the air filter's bolt bracket by the front strut tower area (bolt is north of the air filter unit)
That's the route for this block heater wire harness to go around the left side of the air filter unit.
In case you do locate the block heater wire harness there, follow the wire harness route until you find the plug socket.
Perhaps it's underneath the air filter unit or tucked somewhere behind the headlight frame area.

Where is plug in cord located?

I suspect your referring to the block heater?

A block heater for your Equinox may be a cold climate option so your vehicle may not be equipped with one.

The A/C connection plug is usually located under the hood close to the front of the vehicle.

My 2007 equinox does not have a block heater cord and im going to install one tommorrow before it get to 20 below i need a picture of the back of the motor to be sure where to install it

Block Hester's are generally installed in the freeze plugs. There will be three on the front and three on the back. The instruction say rear center so it will be the center frost plug on the rear of the block

Where does the block heater cord plug into the block heater on the engine? 2005 ford focus zx4

It is almost on the top of the engine at the back when standing against the front bumper. Use a small mirror and run it across the back of the engine, you will see a small brass rectangular piece with 2 prongs inside it. That is where you plug your cord into

Are there freeze plugs on a 2005 Chevy Equinox? We had a hard freeze last night and now the heater doesn't work.

Freeze plugs are actually Core plugs for the block to get the sand out when casting the engine block from cast iron. They actually have nothing to do with freezing, or the heater. What do you mean by "doesnt work" ??? doesnt blow at all? doesnt blow hot?

Where is the plug in for the heater in a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado Diesel pick up truck located?

If your truck came equipped with a block heater the cord should be routed to the front bumper or just inside the engine compartment as you open the hood.Sometimes it is tucked into the back of the front bumper,or around the lower left corner of the inner wheel well were it meets the core support at the lower corner of the radiator. If you can not find the cord crawl underneath the truck and look at the "freeze plugs" in the side of the block, they are just round plugs about 2" or so across and are pressed into the side of the block this is where the block heater is installed by removing one of these plugs. So just look for one that has a cord to it or has an electrical connection to it with out a cord I have seen several vehicles equipped with a block heater and the cord has simply fallen off.Hope this helps sorry so wordy good luck.

2006 Equinox codes kicking out when heater is plugged in in winter

My 05 Malibu has same issue. There is a temp switch in the plug on the block heater cord (raised round plastic protrusion) to prevent the heater working until -18c. I had inadvertently disabled this by replacing the plug on the block heater cord due to no continuity when I tested it (tested it on a warm day before I knew about the switch). However was advised that if I plug in the vehicle on a cold day when the vehicle is hot (example; just arrived at work and it's -20c and want to plug it in for the day) the same fault will occur. Solution. Only plug in after the vehicle has cooled and only when the OAT is below -20c. Not much of a solution, more a of a work around but there it is.
