My traction light came on just as i got 2 new tires for my beetle. i put the old tires on the front (same size) and the 2 new ones on the front. as soon as i exited a freeway ramp with a large curve, the traction light flashed a couple of time, & now is on all the time. all 4 tires are the same size etc, but the newer ones are on the back. any suggestions? thanks
Take it back to the garage that did the tires and my guess is like the other person said. They may have damage the wires when jacking the car up. The shop should have an abs code reader which will take 2 mins to figure out which tire sensor is the problem. Inspect the sensor and wire. If it looks like it got pinched from the service guy. The shop should repair the wire or buy a new one. Be easy enough to reconnect the wires and tape them back up and shrink wrap would be even better
I’d say likely as not something got knocked or damaged, maybe an abs cable got caught when wheels were going on or off. Have a close look to see if any abs cabling has been damaged, and then if nothing obvious get the codes read.
The only sure way to find the problem is plug in diagnostic equipment in and check address 03 MK60 ABS system

hi am no genius but is your car fuel injected ,if so maybe the injector maybe partly blocked and can cause the miss firing of the cylinder. maybe try some good carby cleaner ,it may help

The problem is the seatbelt latch. The wiring right at the latch and the strap are broken. Seems there is not enough slack in these wires to allow much stretch. You may be able to repair it if you can splice these wires back together if not about 160 to 170 for a new one. you can have it put on a machine and if the code leads back to the latch then you know this is the problem.

This is caused by excessive ABS sensor air gap. You might need to adjust the air gap on the speed sensor to the new cv shaft.

Could be dirty abs sensors attached to your brakes. I would clean them with brake parts or elecronical cleaner.
Other possibility is a faulty ABS system.

turn off radio to keep from losing code.remove negative battery cable.disconnect wires from alternator .mark wires with tape to be sure they go back in the same place.loosen belt tension remove belt .if you have VR6-AAA-ENGINE remove the belt tensionsr from cylinder head .remove alternator adjustment bolt followed by pivot bolts .slowly lift alternator from bracket.smile take a deep breath dont need many tools.all you need is the basic tools. basic 3/8 socket set and open -close box end wrenches 13 up to 18 metrics.
