Check engine light on and Troubleshooting code is P0116
I have V70XC '98 Volvo and Has Check Engine Light On, And I went to Auto Zone to get Check for the check Engine light and come up with this code P0116.
Problem causes:
1. - Check Connector and wiring
2. - Sensor open or shorted-replace sensor.
My question ,- Where Is location of the sensor in my vehicle ?
Please assist me to fix this problem ASAP , Thank you very much -I really appreciate.

erase code again , then disconnect battery for a few minutes, reconnect, see if code comes back. hopefully this resets computer. you don\'t have a reset button on steering wheel do you ? replace your fuel filter, if you haven\'t lately. maybe that will help.
The ETS light is the warning light for the Electronic Traction Control. Check Engine light indicates there is a problem with the emissions system. Take the vehicle to Auto Zone, Advance Auto Parts, O'Reilles, or Pep Boys and have the ECU scanned to see what codes comes up. The code will tell your what part is being effected.
The engine light comes on mostly when you have bad gas tank cup,or you don't tight enough the gasoline.Go to any auto-zone and request the obd scanner,at no charge just leave your driver license or credit card,connect the scanner follow the instructions.They will check up and the check engine light will come off in the next 3 to 5 days. if its code p0442 the most common problem is gas cap unless they reset the code for u the vehicle has to cycle- start up a few times or reset after certain amount of miles are driven--but-- this code also can b a cracked, broken,or disconnected vent line,go back to auto zone have them rescan and check for code and have them reset the trouble code if it comes back on than a problem still is present
The light is indicating an emission system failure. Take the vehicle to your local Auto Zone or Advance Auto and ask them to scan your car for trouble codes, they will do it for you at no charge. Write the codes down and reply back to me and we can begin diagnosing the problem.

U NEED TO TAKE IT TO A SHOP THAT HAS A VOVLO SPECIFIC SCAN TOOL.THE GENERIC SCAN TOOL HAVE TROUBLE READ THE VOLVO CODES ESPECIALLY IF U ARENOT DEALING WITH A TOP NOTCH TECHNICIAN
If the air pump system is setting a fault, then the check valve is probably bad. If it is not addressed, eventually exhaust gases can run back through the air hose to the air filter housing and destroy the MAF sensor, causing these types of problems.
The fuel pump also fails and is a more likely cause of the stalling, and it wont set a code.
P0116 is ECT, engine coolant temperature sensor.
