I have a 2003 silverado 4 wheel drive. The truck drives fine in 2wd and 4wd but when I slow down to turn in 4wd probably under 10 mph then the car shuts off. It starts back up and will run fine as long as I dont slow down and turn again. Other than that the 4wd words fine. Any ideas?

Have a complete service done on your truck. When your fluids are changed, have the technician look for metal particles in them. While some are common, if a lot are present, it may indicate sever wear. I would look for this especially in the engine oil. Though I doubt any damage was done, that was for sure very stressful on your truck. I didn't know that a truck would go that fast in 4low. Also watch the behavior of your transmission and engine. Your transfer case should be shifted a few times too.

also u may want to check the regualtor take to a mechanic and have him put i pressure guage and to make sure pump is pumping right amouth of psi. you could have broke some of the plastic on pump when putting in. If good psi then maybe relay or regulator under intake.

it sound like it is going in to 4low rang but it may only be low 2wheel power brake it a little on dirt if the tires sin in the rear it was only low ranged 2 wheel u can get this by putting it in 4low and unlocking the hubs it may be a hub prob as it is common

You probably have a bad encoder motor. It is located on the side of the transfer case on the drivers side.It is black. The other problem they had with these was the switch but you have already replaced this so your next thing is the encoder motor.Hope this helps.Good luck.

I would think there is a problem with the tranfer case. I would check the fluid level in the rearend and address the leak.
