Sounds like a fuel starvation issue. You may want to start with something simple like changing the fuel filter, and move on from there. After replacing the fuel filter, check fuel system pressure to ensure it's in the right range (around 47 PSI for most fuel injected gasoline (petrol) engines). If the fuel pressure is low, it may be the pre-filter on the fuel pump, or the fuel pump itself.
How do you know it's getting Fuel? Sure sounds like it is not getting fuel since the car will Giggle when Starter Fluid is added.
Can you hear the Fuel pump run for a second when you turn the key to the RUN position?
I am not familiar with that model, but it dosen't sound like a fuel filter to me . If it runs good after you get it started, the filter is probably ok,i don't know where it is located on that model, but it sounds like you have already found the problem (low fuel pressure) check for leaks, make sure the lines are on the right places on tank .Whatever is causing low fuel pressure is probably the solution. hope this helps!
Start with changing the fuel filter first and the we can go from there. After filter is change check for fuel pressure and make sure the pump is working. Sounds like the fuel pump from your short discription
I agree with you that there is not fuel to the engine.Fuel pump can still work but not delivering fuel because fuel filter is dirty.
To check if fuel pump is turning on, listen to the fuel pump for 8 sec for priming at the time your ignition key is at on position, not the start position. After that it will be off until you start cranking. Have a helper stand near the gas tank to hear the pump. If there is not fuel pump sound, then it is a bad pump. If there is pump sound then it is a dirty fuel filter.
hello,if your old fuel filter is not dirty, install your fuel filter, sometimes fuel filter is defect even it"s new, hoping there is no fuel leak during your replacement of filter,ty
