Yes the crank sensor can cause this problem, they go open when hot.

I would start with the Starter check for voltage getting to the starter should read 12 volts at both terminals

There's only 2 more things that I can think of, check the fuse for the ignition, then the computor itself, you did everything else.It might be the problem and may not.

When I Bought the truck, it started right up while in park. Then one day it just would not start in park. Does this help to clarify the problem?
