2003 Mercury Mountaineer no heat

I have a 2003 Mercury Mountaineer V8 AWD that the heat doesn't work in. I've replaced the thermostat but no luck. How do I get to the door that switches from cold to hot in order to replace it? Is this the next logical step in my troubleshooting?

2003 Mercury Mountaineer AWD V8 4.6 radio and entertainment wiring diagrams please?

It is never as straightforward as you think because the entertainment system is monitored and run by the body control module and put warning chimes and things like the blinker clicker through the audio system.

2003 mountaineer V8 Temp gauge jumps to hot not over heating. Replaced thermostat, no change

The Engine Temp. sensor is bad. it is under the intake manifold. if there is a miss also check under the coils over the spark plugs. If there is Coolant in the spark plug holes .then the intake gasket is leaking. The intake manifold needs to come off to change the coolant sensor. When off look for corrosion on the cylinder head at the coolant port. If there is corrsion then the cylinder head must be replaced.

I need a new transmission in my 2004 Mercury Mountaineer V8 AWD, how much should I expect to spend?

Replacing a transmission can run $1,800-$3,500
I'm thinking closer to $2800 for you because it is a more sophisticated AWD model, perhaps more. Hope that is informative enough for you.

Please rate me, thanks!

Front differential broke in my 2003 mercury mountaineer v8 how much to fix

Depends I had a whole new used one put in for 1300...I had the front diff replaced 2x and the front driveshaft 2x a Drive shaft by shaftmaster is about 340. Some type of frame tweakage that throes it off. Always make sure you have the same tread on your Mountaineer if you have AWD.

My 2003 Mercury Mountaineer V8 AWD transfer case needs to be replaced. What problems can occur if left untreated?

the problem is the chain inside strechs, could cause case damage, it will soon break and then truck wont move, depending on how bad it is you may be able to drive a bit more, threres just alot of strain there because of it being awd, if it is noisey it doesnt have to be replaced just fixed, good luck.

03 Mountaineer AWD Premier V8 rattling noise under vehicle

If its the heat shield against the underside.its install with fender style aluminum rivets( if you do it be very careful not to drill into a harness) If its the heat shield around the CAT then you should replace the cat. You can try to repair it with a pair of long hose clamps but I don't advise removing it. In the wrong environment the heat could cause a grass fire. or ignite trash that may get caught or blown underneath. Good luck.
