I was given a 95 Aurora for free that has sat for two years. i have replaced the battery and all lights and switches work, but the car will not start. There is no "clicking" sound at the battery and I have even tried to jump start the car with jumper cables on the new battery, but noting happens. I know the starter is under the manifold, but how do I check to see if it is locked up without removing the intake? How do I check the starter switch? Any ideas of what could be wrong?
If the car sat for two years and was never started.... the motor could very well be seized.... to get at the starter .... is usually done from the bottom. If you can removed the starter... test it to see if it's working.... something else you can try if you can see the starter ... is to tap it gently with a hammer while someone attempts to start it...

I put a wrench on the crank and it turns with no problem. I cannot tap on the starter, because it is located under the manifold. It would require dismantling the top end in order to get at it. Any other ideas?
