Hello and welcome to FixYa!
When you are hitting the rail road tracks, the connectors on the throttle body may have been moving. As a first course of action, I strongly suggest that you secure the connectors, be sure that they are properly inserted to lock.
You may need to secure the air cleaner too, make sure that it's not moving. Be sure that there's nothing hitting the wirings as well that can cause the car's sensor to move. These are common issues when the sensor connectors are being moved.
Hope this helps and thank you for using FixYa! Have a good one!

Take it to one of the bigger autoparts stores, they will usually scan for free, and determine what trouble code is actually present to verify problem area. The accelerator pedal position sensor is operated by a cable from pedal to APPS, then electronically from there to determine throttle plate positioning. The APPS is located under battery tray, but you can get to it over left front tire. Wait until trouble code is confirmed to determine repair.
The 1st thing that MUST be done is to have the electronic engine control system computer (called the "PCM") scanned for fault codes, this gives you the starting point for diagnosis od why the warning/fault light is on. You can get the scan for fault codes done for free at any Autozone or similar discount auto parts store in your area. Aamco Transmission does the scan for free as well.
