The the motor is working, but the seat isn't moving, it means the motor assembly is either broken or stripped. You'll have to remove the seat to get to the motor assembly underneath.

the seat adjuster assembly is bad. i was a chrysler tech for 15 years. the motor that runs the forward and back is either bad or the tracks are bad and it is binding. you can not get parts for it. you will have to buy a new complete adjuster or see if a boneyard may have a good used aseembly. Don

I have a 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited. My drivers side front power seat does Not stay adjusted. Every time I turn the ignition on the seat moves backward and the back lays down.

The limited edition brings memory setting for mirrors and seats, it recognizes which key are you putting in the ignition and puts the saved setting accordingly to that driver's key. That is the reason your seat keeps moving. You need to reprogram the seat position for that key. Good luck

Power seat does not retain adjustment

This is always a fun thing to fix. I have fixed a many of them, nothing like sitting in seat and over a couple days the next thing you know the seat is laying on the back seat. ok the fix is to get another one.......Not really, but if you have no patience and no tools then you will need to buy another one from a junk yard or a recycler as they like to be called. Anyways unplug seat from all connections and take seat out of car. use plyers and pull out the hog staples out of the leather in the crack of the eat and pull the seat leather cover back. you will find a worm gear that when controls are pressed it turns and pulls the back of the seat up and lays it down. well the cable is stretched. SO you will need to take the end off and take a small cut off tool and take a 1/4 inch off it and reatach the cable back and make sure it holds it tight and then it will work. always try seat by plugging it all back up before reataching seat back into car. if works and u have it ajusted then u need to taek hog staples and reatach the leather back the way it was, Might have to go buy the special tool and smae new hog clips from a shop that does cloth or leather. tool is like $ 20.00 and new clips are like $8.00 a box. Good luck. It does save $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Lost my manual. How do I remove the middle seats?

First, fold the seat all the way until it lays flat on itself, use the side lever or pull the strap from the back. This will release the seat back, now tilt the seat forward raising the rear part of it, make sure that there is enough space with the front seats to allow it to go all the way until the top part of the seat touches the floor, in this position pull the black strap you will find underneath the seat cushion. This should release the seat, now you can tilt it back and should be able to get it out.

I can't figure out of the back seat in my 1998 toyota corolla lays down

Open the trunk & pull the 2 small knobs, one on either side, inside the top area of the trunk cavity, right under the rear glass area.
Hope this helps, and thanks for choosing FixYa!

How do you lay down rear seat flat?

I just bought a 93 GMC Safari Van and couldn't figure this out either. Luckily, I did have the manual. It appears that the  lever under the front of the sofa moves in forwards and backwards. There is a lever on the corner of each side. Lift up on each and pull cushion forward. Also, you can push on the back of the sofa to help it go down. Hope this helps!

740 station wagon + back seat problem

On the 1992 740, The back seat bottom folds up. (The release lever is on the side.) Once the back seat is up. Take off the head rest, the back seat (upper portion) will lay flat.
