Did you set the gap right on the spark plugs? Also double and triple check the wiring diagram for plug wires, because may have gotten one crossed. I would also check to see if having any vacuum leaks or broken vacuum lines since replacing wires, sometimes they become brittle and break.

Check for leaking intake gaskets or a bad injector.

Change the coil that's the only thing you did not change and a coil if it's weak will cause a miss fire. You can do a compression check on #3 also. If timing was out the truck would be missing like crazy. Change the coil pack.

Have you checked your camshaft sensor? It's possible that the vane on the Synchronizer is misaligned.

I have a 2003 dodge dakota slt 4wd it is missing has no power and is backfireing we put new plug wires dtistruboter cap plugs crank sensor

you should also check your rotor, magnetic pickup and coil for problems or brake down if they check out ok you need to remove the valve covers and role the engine over with the coil unhooked and watch the rocker arms carefully for travel as you may have a camshaft problem

1999 k15000 305 engine. miss firing on no. 3 and 5 cylinders. put new plugs wires cap and button. Put in new injector pump still not firing on 3 and 5

The most likely problem is that coil pack is bad these two are paired on the same coil so replace the 3/5 coil pack if you let it keep going it will damage the other coils or the diode plate which costs another $75.00 Buy From GM not aftermarket. Also get dielectric grease to put on the boots of the plug wires both ends

98Eclipse 2.0 nonTurbo 5speed 180,000 miles ,code PO301

The po301 is a misfire code. The backfire can be caused by a excessive amount of fuel, bad valve timing etc.
My guess is you have damage to an exhaust valve that may have occurred when you had the timing belt problem.A compression test will indicate if you have a leaking exhaust valve. The reason for the backfire is the exhaust valve is still partially open when the spark plug fires.
