I suggest you have the injectors tested by the dealer, the sludge buildup will not cause a miss fire. to clean the throttle body use carberator spray while holding the engine idle high.

Hello, I recommend changing the fuel filter. Old trucks are known to do this and I found that changing the fuel filter helps alot. After the filter change add some fuel injector cleaner and put some gas in it and see if this helps. It would not hurt to change your air filter and change your oil. Always do the cheapest things first especially in this economy. If this does not help let me know. This could also be your fuel cut off solenoid. In most vehicles these get hot and the truck just shuts off and you think it may be a loose battery wire or bad spark plug gap; sometimes it's just this solenoid. You could replace it but you can only get them at a dealership and there not cheap. You could also bypass it but I do not recommend that becuase in a case of an accident the fuel will not be shut off. I hope this fixes your problem.

This could be a couple of things:
Worse scenario is the head gasket make be leaking water into a cylinder. Get a cylinder leakage test done to verify any manifold air leaks or faulty sealing head gaskets.
Good luck, let me know how you get on.

I have replaced fuel filter and done injector cleaner. Also checked gap in plugs. Feul filters are sprayin well. Also the cylinders all have around 120 to 140 pounds of pressure.
Can a worn out crank shaft cause this.
