The seal has supposedly been replaced before but still it leaks, How would I go about making sure the shaft isn't bent or is the bushing possibly the problem?

Hello, it's not "easy" but, it's doable.
You'll need to follow the instructions and don't take shortcuts. ask for help if you need it.
Use this link to get an idea of what is involved. Ignore the "remove transmission" part. It can be done without removing the tranny. If you decide to do this buy a service manual to help you. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

the outer bearings can be driven in using a suitable Very Large socket. Removing the old ones either requires a puller or a cutting torch. I use either depending on the state of the bearings.
when driving new ones in, make sure
To answer the other question, yes you do have to remove the driveshaft to replace the oil seal. the Diff ack-plate has to be removed, the locking horseshoes from the ends of the driveshaft, & the wheels. It takes about 1 hour to remove them & clean the backplate. about another to reassemble.
I charge about $140 plus parts
SOURCE: Transfer case leak
You mean between the case halves? It is just silicon, no gasket. These are good for the pump wearing a hole in the rear housing and leaking oil. The cure for it is a new rear housing and a piece called a case saver that keeps the pump from doing it again. Taking the transfer case apart to fix it is easy, I can tell you how to do it.

Not positive 05 is the same but on my 02 you turn the key to the on position and pump the gas pedal 4 times.
