You may have to jack up the front end of the car to be able to slide under the vehicle a bit or if your arms are long enough you should be able to reach underneath the vehicle and feel for the connector.
So now you see the connector simply give a turn counterclockwise and it will come loose.
Now pull the bulb assembly out.
The fog lamp will pull strait out of the connector.
Replace with a new 9006 bulb.
Now put the bulb assembly back in the fog light assembly.
1
Open
the hood and reach down into the engine bay for the fog light assembly.
If you cannot reach the fog light assembly from the top you may need to
get underneath the truck to reach it. Remove the electrical plug
running to the fog light ballast.
2
Remove the bulb. Unlock the fog light bulb by turning it counterclockwise and pulling it straight out of the assembly.
3
Slide
a new bulb into the fog light assembly. The part number you will need
for the new bulb will be located on the ballast or base of the old bulb.
4
Turn the bulb clockwise to lock it into the fog light housing.
5
Reconnect the electrical connector to the bulb ballast.
2005 Forester - It is easiest to remove the fog assembly.
1. From underneath the vehicle pry out one plastic fastener to be able to bend the light weight plastic mud protector downward. You will see the underside of the fog light assembly with one 10mm bolt directly above you. Remove this bolt. 2. From the front of the vehicle unscrew one 10mm bolt at top of fog light (this is the shorter of the 2 by the way) and pry out one plastic rivet adjacent to it. 3. Carefully remove the fog assembly and disconnect 2-pin power connector by pulling up on the release. Carefully wiggle the housing out (no force req'd). 4. Unscrew the back from the housing and replace H3 bulbs. Take care not to touch the bulb while replacing. 5. Reverse to install. Should take an hour at most.
Touring Model Use a wrench to remove the mounting bolt from the underbody through the hole in the splash shield. Remove the fog light assembly from the bumper by pulling its inner edge first, then the whole assembly out of the bumper. Remove the electrical connector from the bulb by pushing on the tab and pulling the connector down. Remove the bulb from the fog light assembly by turning it one quarter turn counterclockwise. Push the electrical connector onto the new bulb. Turn on the fog lights to test the new bulb. Reinstall the fog light assembly into the bumper. Tighten the mounting bolt. Insert the new bulb into the assembly and turn it one-quarter turn clockwise to lock it in place. Hope this helps you.

down, you should be able to see the back of the fog light.you can try
to replace the fog light bulb by removing the two 10mm bolts and slide

of the rear of the fog light and replace light.

I just replaced the fog light bulb on my 2008 Azera. I went under the car and removed two screws from the protective shield. I pulled down the shield and reached up and turned the fog light socket and pulled it out of the housing, remembering which side the wires were on and removed the old bulb (Don't touch the new bulb with your hand) and replaced it with the new bulb. The job took less then 15 minutes
