Front panel vents stay open when on auto then seem to close after 30 seconds from being on. Other vents seem to work fine and the air is still cold. When I switch to other vent settings like floor or defrost, those work, but when i try to go back to front panel it doesn't switch.

You probably have a vacuum leak on the passenger side. its a small plastic hose some times they come unpluged from the engine. or brake.

Check the vacuum hose going to the heater control valve,it may have popped off. If that is on. check the vacuum hose going to your recirculation door under the right side of your dash. I hope this helps.

look under your hood for any vaccuum leaks. check all rubber hoses under the hood. they should be roughly the size of your pinky.

Check over on the passenger side under the hood by the fire wall, there will be some elec. connection, just below that there will be a small vacum line that should go into your fire wall, check that it has vacum, it should also have a one way valve, small round looking some time that get clog, needs to have vacum that is what power the blend door's.
