My 02 gtp wont start no power to fuel pump but power to coil pac but only dull spark

The vehicle started off acting like the fuel pump was bad but i took it out checked it and it was fine so i then checked the wires at the plug and there was a small break, fixed that and now no start, no power to the fuel pump, 12v power to coil pac but only low orange spark. it acts like the security system is stopping it but no sec light, maybe some sencors or something.

If the car has over 100,000 miles on it, you may need to replace the distributer. I don't think the bad gas caused this issue I think it may just be a coincdence. But if you already changed the plugs, wires, distributor cap, and rotor, I would definetly check the distributor.

I had the same problem with mine. I have a 91 trans am, and My problem was a temp sensor on the motor. I put a new one on, and it fired right up. Hopefully that helps you out a bit.

SOURCE: Vehicle dies while driving down the road.

could it be the A/C pump kicking in. might be boging down the motor or electrical circuit, not letting the injectors get enough power. This could happen if the bearings are going bad in th A/C pump or there is a short in it. Just an idea. sounds like you have done the main components.

SOURCE: 1997 dodge ram won't start. My fuel pump does not

First check any ignition/fuel related fuses. Check to make sure you have 12 volts coming into the pump and coil. If nothing to the fuel pump replace the fuel pump relay - if you do have power to the fuel pump then replace the pump. If nothing is coming to the coil it is either an ignition relay or a wiring issue. If you have 12 volts to the coil but no spark then replace the coil.
Also the fuel pump/relay would not kill the coil.

91 Ford F150 XLT Lariat 4.9l - no start and no fuel pump start

Tried starting it again and noticed that the fuel pump was not turning on..
this is not true done wrong,
and spark is first never ever fuel first, fuel does not burn lacking spark (gas)
if spark is bad on all spark plugs then fix spark. (all plugs dead)
you really really need to end that fixaction on fuel, spark is bad
the pump only pumps cranked and running not key on
most do a 1second prime most noobs never see or know how to find that out (a fuel pressure gauge is that tool) (a 2 man job)
one at key, 1 at gauge, or voltmeter at pump wires rear. 2man not 1 or learn to crank and see fuel pressure good
and learn this fact, too, the ECU on all cars made cuts fuel if the ECU brain detects spark loss to end crash and burn as seen on TV>
this is done 1 or 2ways or both cuts injectors and cuts the pump dead , on newer cars crash switches cut fuel too, so 3ways
end fuel , deals back to SPARK

its bad wiring for spark and using a voltmeter to the correct spot when spark fails is the only test to do.
91'F150 Pickup, not econoline 4.9L gas.
it has a distributor or TFI-I or TFI-iv system
the ICM must be thermal pasted new install or fails hot.
the SM book shows it has TFI spark. in the real 4.9 schematic.
lets focus ******* TFI 4.9L
AS YOU CAN SEE , ANY OF ALL THIS CAN FAIL AND DO THIS OLD.
BEST IS NEW FULLY LOADED DISTRIBUTOR THIS OLD !
Tests:
1: the red wire must be hot keyon, at spark lost or BINGO1
2:the ecu detectS spark loss at pin 4. input. and cuts fuel faST.
3:The TFI IS the ignitor acts like old points did it charges up the coil then fires it.
4: spark is lost we always check for spark directly at the COIN.
if dead there we know coil bad or all part to the left and below bad.
5:the red/light green wire must also be 12vdc hot keyon,
6: the noise cap not missing ,dead or bad or noise can make the TFI module misfire or act up at random, noise is not good here.
7: that is for power loss etc. the problem seems like wiring bad./loose., if spark is good at coil say so. as it might be and only the ignition suppressor is bad and this cuts fuel dead if bad.
the supressor name is not good, better is spark detection read back filter. if bad ECU CAN NOT SEE SPARK HAPPEN
heck it can even lost or its pins rust after 31 year on the road.

2004 E Class Mercedes will sometimes start and go for days and then suddenly acts like it will turn over but, does not start. What's wrong?

When you have the no start you need to make sure the fuel pump is energizing and that you have fuel in the fuel rail with pressure. You may be having the beginning of a bad fuel pump ready to go south. Second option would to be sure when turning to start the vehicle that you have power to the ignition coil. You need gas and electric spark to start any vehicle. Without either, the vehicle will just crank.

Have a 1994 chevy suburban changed wires cap rotor ignition coil plugs no spark to plugs disturbed turns was driving home it sputtered than died well crank no start help only car I got

02 sensor is not you main problem.
Have you got good spark and fuel pressure when it acts up or quits?
Is it dead now or just acting up?

Pull the throtle body and replace the base gasket to start with.
Clear codes and see what comes back.

Check fuel pressure when it quits.
Post back fuel pressure readings.

Get some good repair info on the code for fuel pump relay and fuel pump and fuel pressure.

02 durango wont start

Is it getting fuel and or spark? If the fuel pump is working and the the plugs are getting fire then perhaps a clogged fuel pump strainer is to blame.
If the fuel is reaching the engine, then test the coil. If no spark is event replace the coil.

Engine cutoff while driving . Wont start acts like it is not getting fuel.

As per the problem it indicates that its a fuel problem.Get the fuel pressure checked. If its low then this problem is related to faulty fuel pump and also the clogged fuel filter. Also there are other possibilities, that has to be checked.

A car that cranks over but doesn't start, in many cases will be due to a bad fuel pump, a broken timing belt, an inoperative cam sensor or crank sensor. Also this problems are related to faulty spark plug. Check the spark at spark plugs when you start the car. Do you notice any spark. Actually you should see. If in case there is no spark then it's a spark plug problem. Also the coil pack gives power to spark plug. So check the voltage at coil pack. It will show 12 volt.If there is no voltage noticed at coil pack then its faulty coil pack that has to be replaced. If all the possible options checked out ok then check the car starter. The starter gets power from battery to start the care. If the starter is faulty then it will not let the car to start. Also check and confirm that there is fuel in the car. If it very low fuel then in some cases this causes the problem. Also check and confirm that fuel pump is functioning properly and the fuel filter is not clogged. One of the easiest ways to check for a fuel pump related problem is to spray a little starting fluid into the air intake while trying to start the car. If the car starts momentarily, then there's a good chance the fuel pump is not working or the car is out of gas. You can also listen for the fuel pump's humming sound when the key is first turned on. Also if a inoperative fuel pump is suspected, a good technician will always check to verify there is power and ground being supplied to the pump, to eliminate the possibility of a bad relay or electrical issue. Fuel pressure can be checked with a pressure gage and if there is pressure, pulse can be checked at the fuel injectors in several ways including the most common, with the use of noid lights. If the injectors don't have pulse the engine won't start. ---------- This troubleshooting tips will help you to solve the problem.Thanks.Helpmech.

Vehicle shuts off on the highway, and want start. but after two to five minutes it will start again, drive another twenty to thirty miles,it might shut off wiat another two to five minutes it will start...

you need to check this when it does not start fuel pressure at the fuel rail , spark at the plugs, power at the fuel injector wire that will tell you whats wrong . if there is no fuel pressure its a bad fuel pump swap the relay with another one to test it if still no pressure the pump is bad . if you have fuel pressure and wont start spray starting fluid in the throttle body see if it starts this tells you if its spark or fuel if it does not start its spark possible bad distributor or coil if it does start that means you have spark and with fuel it will run meaning your injectors are not firing = no power at injectors = bad crank sensor its 38.00 at auto parts stores driver side top of trans bell housing make sure you push and hold it down when tightening the bolt
