First and foremost can you tell me if the lights are showing up on the 4x4 selector switch ?
Second if they are illuminated ( should be in 2-Hi ) when you select to go into 4-Hi or 4-Low does the selection flash?
And Lastly can you hear a sound of any type (clicking, ticking, thumping)
when you push the button?
bad trasfer case selector motor common problem i ve a ton of these replace that motor and youll have 4 wd again ,the part is costly about $ 300.00. hope this helps.
check fuse and relay to switch if power to switch retest switch new doesnt mean not defective if no power check connections and wiring for damage or breaks
No the switch is okay there is a transfer case control module that blinks tose lights when there is a problem. You need to fing a compatible scan tool and get the codes from the transfer case controller to diagnose the fault otherwise it will just stay in 2WD.
If you have front end problems like an pitman arm or idle arm needs to be replaced, it may not got into 4 wheel drive. Go to the nearest muffler shop or mechanic to have them lift up your truck to see if something needs to be replaced.
