Need diagram for 2004 dodge intrepid se serpentine belt

You need a tool to release the spring tension idler pulley to get the old belt off and the new one back on. The wrap diagram should be on a sticker under the hood somewhere. You can google search for a diagram.

The tensioner mount has a square hole in it for inserting a ratchet or a breaker bar. Pull the tensioner in the direction which realeases the tension on the serpentine belt.

Below is a diagram for 3.5L engines. The tension pulley should be the middle left pulley. There should be a tension screw just above it. Loosen the tensioner pulley, route the new belt according to the diagram and while applying pressure to the pulley, tighten it until it's secure.

for serpentine belt you have to loosen both tensioners. for the drive belt you loosen the tensioner just below the alternator. fr belts needed call autozone.

Good morning! I am enclosing a serpentine belt routing diagram to aid in the installation of your serpentine belt. There are 4 different engine possibilities but i have enclosed all. The serpentine belt tensioner is released by rotating in a clockwise direction as shown in the diagrams.
