SOURCE: key gets stuck in ignition
My daughter drives a Suzuki, my solution to her is: while the gear shift lever is in park, lightly put pressure on the gear shift lever, through the park position and while pressing the gear shift towards park light rock left to right while trying to remove the key.
The interlock between the transmission and the ignition switch needs to be adjusted/ repaired or replaced.

Try spraying WD 40 into the ignition as possible. Let sit a second.. Then try working the key. It should come out. Then work the key in and out and turn on and off; a few minutes. This is to loosen the ignition up. I had the same problem, once with my car key. The key came right out.

Jiggle the steering wheel - make sure brake is depressed.

Firmly grab the steering wheel ,left hand on the 2,o'clock position, and with your right,at the 8,o'clock position and turn it until you feel the wheel move ,let go of the 8 ,oclockand try the key ,,,,,this may take a couple of try's.
Good luck

on the left side of barrel, look for a dowel, there should be a vary small opening that you can take something as small as a pinhead and push the dowel in ,while pushing in on dowel pull the barrel out.the key may need to also be in on position for removal. try that and see if it works. if not please repost your question. thank you for choosing fixya.com

my key won't turn in the ignition and I think it's because it's frozen. I don't know what to do about it. I'm going call an auto part store and see if they can give me any ideas.
