Belt idler pully or tensioner pully maybe . Pull the serpentine belt off an see if the noise goes away . Just running the engine for a second or two you should be able to tell , an this will not hurt anything .
yes they are very easy to replace of course get the correct belt at the auto store they will ask you the year and model of the car.. you can find excellent videos on how to do this by going to youtube videos now it says belt tensioner and this video it to replace that but you will see how the belt comes off its very easy just remember the way the belt is ran there should be a diagram somewhere under the hood by the latch mech.... you shouldent have to remove anything but the belt..good luck i hope this helps you..
