Front air condition does not blow cold. Rear air condition does

2001 Nissan Quest. A/C Blowers are working fine. Front blows warm/cool air, but rear is cold.

Hi there, I have a Mit Galant 2001. Air con blows cool air well only at the start for 5 min roundabout then air becomes warm or not cold. I had the cooling gas refilled but doesn't seem to fix the problem

Sounds like a damper door in the front not working properly, these are actuated by the front temp control, the door is operated by either a manual cable, and electric actuator, or vacuum. I hope this helps you zero in on your problem. Merry Christmas

well it is a blend, mode door (dampers) problem
it is a purely air distribution error.
you must check them all, to be sure they all work correctly
the service manual covers it.

A/c front blower is warm, but rear blowers are fine

This is a common problem and the solution usually is that the fron thermostat is usually gone and needs replaising. Shouldn't be too much money to get done. It's just not opening up to let the cold air pass into the from area but the rear one is working fine which allows it to blow cold air.

The blowers for the air condition and heat in the front of the van do not blow air

Hello and thank you for using FixYa!

If your ac controls still operate the rear blower, but not the front, then you most likely need a Ac amp. It's like a blower motor resistor. I would have it checked to verify.

Thanks Jay!

Air conditioning

Yes! You are absolutely right, sometimes when you drive on rough roads, the lines from the condenser(cold air module) may get loose and you lose your cold air. The fact that it's blowing in one part of the vehicle and not the other is a testament to that. The best advice is to get the air conditioning checked out. they do this really neat thing where they pressurize the line to find out where the leak is coming from. Hope this helped.

I have a Nissan Quest 2001. The front air conditioning works the mid section does not, it just blows hot air.

I know this is late and hopefully you have this fixed, but the problem is probably the air diverter door control. There are 2 doors, 1 front, 1 rear (middle) and they are adjusted by a single control to balance the temp front and back based on the controls. If this goes out, you either are stuck with hot air up front/cold air in back or vice versa. You can try manually moving the doors to see if they are stuck (in the duct work) or test the actual control circuit. Check your tech manual for how to do it.

Hi, my best advise is to have your air check for freon leaks ,low freon causes the compresor cluth to stop working ,this can cause the air to blow hot .......
