Volvo V70 xc AWD '98 - fuel filter change

Dear FixYa Team,

I have volvo V70 XC AWD ' 98 and I would like to change the fuel filter and I have a problem to find the location of fuel filter in my car, Please help me with and I would really apreciate.

    sorry not sure but do know its an in line type so should see it if follow fuel pipe back

The fuel filter can be located under the carpeted cargo storage floor at the rear of the wagon. Remove the four 10mm bolts, remove the cover. You will then see a removeable plate to the right just behind the rear passenger seat. Fuel filter can be seen through hole in hole. Replaced from underneath wagon. Be sure to make sure lines are fully inserted onto filter. Check for leaks. No smoking, extinguisher handy. Note arrow on filter for correct fuel flow.

Wagon v70 awd 1998 will turn over but won't start is it fuel filter or pump? it was running in park, started making a loud grinding noise, i shut it off then tried to start it engine will turn over but won't start. please help wayne

My 1999 xc v70 awd volvo wagon has a rear brake getting hot
the first thing you want to check is whether or not it has a heavy drag at the wheel caused by wrong pads, sticking caliper, improperly installed parts. Lift the car and try to turn the wheel. Just because they are certified does not mean they know everything. I'm certified too, but I also have experience with euros and the quality of parts that need to be used. If inferior quality parts are used it will cause this. It can create all kinds of problems and noises. Take it back until they get it right. Ask them what brand of parts they use. Let me know and if they give you any grief, contact me and I will advise accordingly.

Have a Volvo V70 XC AWD 2000. P0422 code comes up "efficeincy below threshold". Just replaced the Cat with an after market unit. Code comes back after resetting and driving for 30 miles. Car has 135K miles...
you can do that since you already replace the cat, however the problem may be some where else like maf sensor, intake leaks faulty plugs, coils or fuel injectors

How change gas pump for volvo 00 v70 xc
Good luck.  It sits on top of the fuel tank.  You have to drop the fuel tank, which involves removing the rear subframe and most of the AWD suspension and driveline components.  A very good mechanic with the right tools and that has done it before will be able to do it in around 8 hours of labor.  It is an expensive part and very labor intensive to replace.
