It sounds like either the starter relay is faulty, the ignition switch is bad, or some interlock (maybe a security system) is preventing the start signal from getting to the starter solenoid. You'll need to use that test light to work backwards from the starter solenoid to see where the signal is no longer getting through during a normal start attempt.

SOURCE: tail light stop working on my 92' toyota camry

In the car trunk, there may be a electrical relay box behind the panel on the left side. It is usually no bigger than 4 inches by 4 inches and yellow in color. This is present in 1987-1991 Toyota Camrys and is generally not in most repair manuals. This yellow electrical relay box may have burnt out. Best place to pick one up at an inexpensive price is at the car wrecking or salvage yard. It is very expensive at the dealer. It is easy to replace with no special tools required. I have done this on my 1991 Camry,

Battery cables off the starter ,starter relay and ignition switch. these are the remaining items in the starting system for no crank and no start.

SOURCE: 1992 Toyota Camry won't crank

Check the ground cable going from the battery to
alternator, then to chassis. Make sure there is no
rust at the chassis ground wire terminal, and that it
is very tight. The fusible link will be off the alternator
red power cable, usually, but not 100% on that car.
Good luck.

Electrical issue (we think)

step 1: you need an ODB11 reader, most AutoZones can rent you one to look for trouble codes.
Guess: the computer might be damaged.

Check all battery connections for corossion, battery to motor and battery to body ground for corossion under mounting bolts. Also check motor to body ground strap. Also check battery wire and all otherwires on starter solonoid. Check condition of battery, even if the dashboard lights up your battery can not have enough juice to turn car over to start.

Engine won't start

The fact the engine rotates indicates a good battery, that's eliminated from the search.
The problem is of Main/Auxiliary Power Supply. Trace the Main Battery cacle from the Starter, if it has more than 1 Power cable attached, looking for a connector break running back to the Power Box. If the Starter has only 1 supply cable, then look for a loose joint on that Battery to Power Box Connector Block, or broken 'Spade' connector. If again all appears ok, by using the "Idiot" diagram, on the Power Box and Fuse Box, pull each Maxi and Service Fuse and Relay in turn, looking for a Failure. Should this not detect the fault come back to me again.

Not charging after trying the remote starter

under the dash there will be 2 red wires going into the remote start unit, there will also be 1 fuse on each red wire, remove the fuses and your remote starter will be disabled, then you can eliminate any isusses with it

1993 jeep grand cherokee wont start

check all fuses in power distribution center near battery and make sure all wires you removed from starter went back on starter and not hanging somewhere. There is a possibility that before you changed the starter there was something wrong that was causing the starter not to operate. Also check that power is going to and out of the ignition switch and starter relay (relay also powers up the ignition system which is why you have no fire)

Parking light malfunction

The remote starter is the culprit. Your vehicle has a body computer, and it is not programmed to understand the installation of a remote starter. More often than not, the remote starters cause very bizarre things to happen to the body computer. Best advice: Remove the remote starter before it causes permanent damage to the body computer. A BC replacment is over $1,200 dollars.
