oil leaks from underneath can come from front crank shaft seal --rear crank shaft seal --oil filter--sump gasket---power steering ---leaking rocker cover gaskets ---leaking oil pressure switch.--transmission seals. I suggest that you have the engine professionally cleaned and then put it on a hoist while running to see where the oil is from

Transfer Case Assembly -REMOVAL & INSTALLATION
Samurai
Models Even the 2WD Samurai uses a transfer case. Rather than use a straight
line driveshaft from the transmission to the differential, the Samurai
leaves the transfer case in place and replaces its internal working with
a simple offset gear mechanism, thus keeping 2 of the 3 driveshafts
used in the 4WD vehicle.
On 4WD vehicles, remove the transfer case shift lever.
Raise and support the vehicle safely.
Drain the oil from the transfer case.
Matchmark and remove the driveshafts from the transfer case
assembly. Not all of the driveshafts need to be completely removed from
the vehicle, just unbolted from the case flanges. In most cases, the
shaft or shafts on one side of the transfer case can be repositioned and
supported out of the way.
Support the transfer case using a suitable transmission jack.
Disconnect the speedometer cable from the transfer case.
On 4WD vehicles, disconnect the 4WD switch lead wire at the
coupler.
Remove the three mounting bolts and/or nuts securing the transfer
case to the chassis, as applicable.
Carefully lower the transfer case from the vehicle.
To install:
Position and install the transfer case. Tighten the mounting bolts
to 159-248 inch lbs. (18-28 Nm) and/or the mounting nuts to 19-25 ft.
lbs. (25-34 Nm).
On 4WD vehicles, connect the 4WD switch lead wire at the coupler.
Connect the speedometer cable to the transfer case.
Properly refill the transfer case with an approved type of gear
oil.
Align and install the driveshafts to the transfer case.
On 4WD vehicles, install the transfer case shift lever.
Remove the jackstands and carefully lower the vehicle.
Sidekick, Tracker, Sidekick Sport and X-90 Models On
these models the transfer case is bolted to the transmission and takes
the place of the 2WD transmission's extension housing. Therefore,
transfer case is removed or installed as part of the transmission
assembly.
Is it a 4x4 if it is you would have to seperate the tranny from transfer case and drive shaft tp change out seal.If not just drop the drive shaft and replace seal.We are talking about the rear seal at the end of the tranny.
The transmission doesn't have a dipstick but it does have a fill level plug located at the rear of the extension housing, just to the passengers side. It is a round plug with a 3/8 square hole in it.
Fill trans till oil overflows out of this hole.
Use VMX80 or similar.
Check the metal vent tube on the fuel pump. When the diaphram goes out, oil will leak from the vent tube. If that is the problem, get it fixed pronto. Not always but there are some times when fuel gets mixed into the oil when the pump is going out and that thins the oil out. Keep on driving with this problem and you can kiss your engine good bye.
When/if you change the fuel pump out, make sure not to lose the push rod that is behind it. It goes between the camshaft and fuel pump.
1. Use an adaptor for the new front wheel engine and the original transmission of your suzuki ( ask your machinist)
2. Have your propeller shaft from the transmission to the independent transfer case resized depending on the outcome of your engine mount.
3. adjust the bracket of your transfer case if you need more room for the propeller.(optional)
4. you dont need to change gear ratio if you plan to use the same tires
