I m missing 1 ov the vacuum lines coming from the egr valve when i put it in gear it dies i have the parts to fix it i just need to find where the other end goes
Are you talking about the egr vacuum solenoid, if so these solenoid have a filter on them and they rot when getting old and filter falls off and where filter was it looks like a vacuum hose would go there, you should have 1 vacuum hose to solenoid and 1 from solenoid to egr valve, you could possible have a bad egr solenoid, any codes set ?

u didn't say what engine, but check out this site, I believe it will be very helpful as to what u are looking for-
go to 'autozone.com select year make, engine, etc, click on 'repair manual' then driveability and emissions control, then to 'vacuum', they have a bunch of diagrams that will keep u busy. If u have any trouble finding it, let me know.

The plastic line in the wiring harness goes to the heater controls; and believe it or not , the other end goes to the vacuum tank - but its in the FENDER !!!!! behind the ABS, kinda under the drivers side hood hinge - great place to put one ain't it ? No wonder GM is going broke !! Good Luck

You block it off before the valve on the metal pipe that runs to the EGR valve. The problem is that when you go to get it smogged you have to replace the EGR or it will not pass smog
