Their are usually in back of grille or on the underside of rails. you will need to take off the front bumper to get access.

Did u check both fuse panel one under the hood the other in the cab under or on the side of the dash. Also sometimes the switch inside the stearing wheel will short or just stop working due to dust or excessive force. If the car has a drivers air bag it will be costly to replac this switch due to the explosives used in the air bag deployment system. good luck and good hunting

Horn doest work

the horn have fuse and relay in engine fuse compartment.inspect all the fuses. in your owners manual is the location of the fuse and relay. if OK, one person push the horn and other check power to the horn.if no power swap the relay with other one for test.if you SRS light is ON and the horn does't work suspect the clock spring(soft connection below the steering wheel to column)
good luck

Horns not working,original relay 43yrs old !

You hear clicking at horns, and not the relay? Maybe the horns went bad, or maybe you need to check and clean the connections there.
Don\'t know why the cab light went dim, unless the horn wire was trying to make contact?
Yes, TJ, the horn wire should be hot. You are grounding that hot wire when you press for the horn. That hot wire comes from the coil side of the horn relay. Press for horn, it grounds the coil side of relay, and the relay can pass power to the horns.
Now back to the clicking no-honker horns: power gets to the horns when relay is energized, and there has to be a good ground for horns to work. I don\'t know if your horns are case grounded or a wire from horns goes to ground, but check the ground there. If case grounded, pull horns off and clean the ground. Also might try a known good horn. Keep at it, sounds like you are almost there.

My horn keeps beeping when I am driving

You could pull the horn relay or disconnect the horn.
Problem could be the relay or the horn pad on the steering wheel, or a short in the steering column.

I have a 96 explorer xlt v6 has alarm that works thru the horns. the horns quit working checked fuses in dash no burnt ones looked for horns or horn under hood could not locate where they were. doug

The horns are located on the left side of the radiator
support. To check them, use a jumper wire from the
+post on the battery unplug the horn and touch the
wire to the horn contact. If it toots check the horn relay in the power dist. box on the left fender. Also
check fuse #4 a 20amp fuse in the same dist box.
But if the horn won't toot replace the horn. If none of
the things I've mentioned pan out. You can get back
to us and we'll dig a little deeper. Good luck.

Does the 96 have a horn relay switch, and if it does where is it located. When I press my horn, no horn just clicking noise above glove compartment.

Yes it does and its near your gas and brake pedal under the panel. First check your courtesy fuse, if thats all good, Than test your horn by supplying it with the required power. A clicking noise usually means that the horn is bad and not the relay. PS. I'm not %100 but i don't believe that the horn uses a fuse.
