92 Ford Ranger, dashboard lights and tail lights went out, the fuse box, has a size 10 fuse in it spot which I did not have in stock, however I used a size 20 fuse and lights work, could I leave this size 20 fuse in its size 10 fuse spot to operate the truck and would it be harmful to do so?

There are 4 fuses you would need to check in the interior fuse panel.
The first one is fuse no.32(10amp) then check no. 33 (15amp) then no. 59 (7.5 amp) and no. 61 (7.5 amp)

Most fuse boxes are on or near the kick panel (left side of vehicle) under the steering wheel. Some (additional) fuse boxes are under the hood,

If you happen to have a trailer wiring adapter plugged into the harness, remove it first and see if they start working. I've more than one of those mess up the rear lights. If you have the three-bulb tail lights, use a test light to see if there is power to the tail bulb sockets. If there isn't, replace that fuse just to be sure, then trace back the harness to find the break in the wiring.

you have to check all fuses with a test light both fuse boxes under hood and under dash... if good next to look for is the light switch itself... has any radio work been done to the lately... if so alot of times hooked up wrong will blow park fuse as one of the wires to radio is the park voltage to tell radio to dim down some
