I have a nissan sentra 93 and all of the sudden the car wont start. The engine does not crank or anything, my light will turn on, but the warning lights in the dash board usually turn on by turnning the key to on now they wont

try placing car in nuetral and then try starting or push shifter forward while starting! this is a common problem for nissan also make sure your foot is on the brake when starting. for someof them this is a safety feature

Make sure you have the plug wires on the correct plug. Check the
ignition timming to make sure it is correct. After running for a few
minutes pull the pluggs to see whitch cylinders are running rich. The
fuel pressure and volume need to be tested.

Additionally, try checking the power transistor. I will send the test. Also make sure the coil has a good ground...

I have a 93 Nissan Sentra that decided to not crank last night, leaving me and my friends stuck. I bought this car from my great aunt who had the same problem a couple of times, but was fixed by wiggling the gear shift a bit. Problem is, when I go to crank it, the lights and radio all come on...but the engine doesn't turn. No nothing. I know my aunt had just bought a new battery last fall, so it couldn't be the battery. Could it be something with the gear shift, or the starter?
