While bleeding replaced brake line have good pedal pressure when car is not running. when I start the car to check brake pedal pressure the pedal goes almost to the floor. what is wrong?
First check your level in the brake fluid reservoir. If full, then you will need to pull off one tire at a time to bleed the brakes. There will be a bleeder valve on each caliper. Open the valve and pump the brakes until hard and hold, to get air out of the system. Then close the valve. I usually use a clear tube attached to the valve so that I can make sure I got all the air out of the line. Once air is gone, do the other side. Make sure to keep brake fluid full in reservoir to prevent air from reentering the brake lines.

ABS BRAKE BLEEDING YOU NEED A TECH 2 SCANNER TO BLEED BRAKE.THIS PROCEDURE WILL WORK SOME TIMES BUT BEST TO HAVE A TECH 2 SCANNER.PARK CAR ON SOLID LEVEL GROUND.SAFELY RAISE SUPPORT VECHICLE ON JACK STANDS.MAKE SURE BRAKEMASTER CYLINDER HAS FULL BRAKE FLUID NOT OVER FILLED.THIS PROCEDURE WILL ACTIVATES ABS BRAKE MODULE RETURN PISTON TO HOME POSITION.SET PARKING BRAKE.NOW START UP ENGINE.APPLY BRAKES SHIFT CAR IN DRIVE ALLOW FRONT WHEELS TO SPIN 5 TO 10 MILES AN HOUR WHEELS IN MOTION WILL ACTIVATE ABS BRAKE MODULE. NOW APPLY BRAKES SHIFT CAR BACK IN PARK AND MANUAL BLEED ALL THE BRAKES.IF THIS PROCEDURE DONT WORK.HAVE VECHICLE TOWED IN AND HAS BE PRESSURE BLEED .AND A TECH 2 SCANNER HAS TO BE USED TO RESET ABS BRAKE MODULE PISTONS TO HOME POSITION.DONT TRY DRIVING VECHICLE.IF ABS BRAKES AND BRAKES SYSTEM NOT WORKING.

Its probably how your bleeding your brakes, but first make sure the bleeding nipples are facing upward. You should bleed diagonaly, front pass wheel then rear driver wheel. Then front driver wheel and rear pass wheel. The abs light has its own computer your have to get it scanned to clear the codes and turn off the light

Are the rotors worn? Worn rotors and new pads will sometimes cause this. The pad sits across the ridges and no matter how much you bleed the system the pedal just wont stiffen up. (See diagram. A - New pads, B - Rotor, C - Ridge)
If you did not install new pads you may also want to check the master cylinder seals. First bleed the system at the pipes that connect to the master. If the rotors are ok, you've bled the master cylinder and the problem persists then replace the seals or the complete master cylinder.
