Question about 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix

04 pontiac grand prix remote

I have an 04 pontiac grand prix that needs the keyless remotes programmed. i found the instructions that had u remove the mall pgm fuse, etc.

i can't find a mall pgm fuse on this car and wondered if anyone knew how i could program the remote for it.

any help would be great,

It's under the hood, on the driver's side, under a square, black box with a lightning symbol on it. Loosen the flower-shaped screw that holds the lid of the box down, remove the lid, flip it upside down and when you look at the inside of the lid, you'll see a map of all your car's fuses. There's also a fuse diagram on the very end of the dash, but it's accessible only when you open the driver's side door. When you're driving, that end of the dash is blocked by the closed door.

sensor might be dirty, try removing them and cleaning them. Dont use sprays as they pose a threat more than they fix. Check tires to see if there is one that might be WAY lower than the rest. Or consider taking it to a shop if you cant find the rigth abs sensor.

How do I program keyless entry on my 2002 grand prix? I have tried the way I found by removing mall pgm fuse n open door n turn key to acc. Doesnt work. The fob I have was for gp why it not work?

Important: All transmitters which are to be recognized by the remote control door lock transmitter (RCDLR) must be programmed in a single programming sequence. If the system is placed in program mode it will erase all previously programmed transmitters upon the receipt of the programming signal from the first transmitter. This prevents the programming of the transmitters to the incorrect vehicle.

Remove the ignition key from the ignition lock cylinder.

I am trying to remove the mall pgm fuse, if found the fuse box on passenger side at end of dash I got the cover off but none are labeled mall pgm??

How to program a new alarm remote

Transmitter Programming
No Tools Required
In the event that a transmitter is lost, program the old and the new transmitters into the memory of the remote control door lock receiver. Up to 4 transmitters may be programmed.

Important
Once the keyless entry receiver enters the programming/diagnostic mode, the programming of the first transmitter erases all previous transmitter programming information. You must then program all of the transmitters.

Program only 1 vehicle remote control door lock receiver at a time. If you program multiple receivers simultaneously, the same transmitter could possibly be programmed to more than 1 remote control door lock receiver.

Perform the following steps:

Sit in the vehicle driver's seat.
Remove the ignition key from the ignition lock cylinder.
Close all of the vehicle's doors.
Remove the MALL PGM fuse from the fuse panel. Refer to Electronic Diagnosis in Body and Chassis.
Turn the ignition lock cylinder to the ACC position.
Turn the ignition lock cylinder OFF, then back to ACC within 1 second.

There is a 10A MALL/CLUSTER FUSE in the fuse block. There is no MALL/PGM fuse panel.

How do I reset a Key Fob for my 2006 Grand Prix. I have a key fob from a different year car that I would like to program to my current 2006 car. I only have one fob for the current car.

Programming new keyless entry remote

Yes...

1) Remove the "MALL PGM" fuse located in the glove compartment (see owners manul for location)

2) Turn ignition switch to "Accessory" then "Off" then back to "Accessory" witin 1 second. (accessory is opposite the forward direction key is normally turned for starting the vehicle)

3) Plug in drivers side seat belt.

4) Open and close a door (will hear a chime indicating in program mode.)

5) Press and hold both the "Lock" and "Unlock" buttons on the Fob and wait at least 7 seconds (may take longer) you'll hear a chirp or the horn will sound.

6) repeat step 5 for all other Fobs.

7) turn key to Off and replace fuse.
