I have 1997 lexus es 300. Automatic air conditioning controls fan does not work. I went to auto parts Action Auto and received a motor switch relay, where is this relay switch on this vehicle? I would think it would be under the hood where the fuse box is, which relay switch would it be? If this does not work what else could the problem be? Thank you

SOURCE: How do I change the license plate lights on a 1997 Lexus ES 300

Open the deck lid (trunk) to better access the lights. There will be 2 of them. Recommend replacing both at the same time even if only one has failed. Generally sold in pairs anyway.

Directly above the license plate will be mounted 2 clear light covers. On the right side of each light cover you can see a small plastic rivet. Push in the center 1/4 inch with a small screwdriver then you will be able to pry out and remove the rivet without damaging it. This will save you from buying replacement plastic rivets for re-installation. Remove the light cover with the bulb harness attached.

The bulb harness requires a short turn counter clockwise to remove it from the light cover and the new bulbs snap into the harness. No twisting or screwing. Replace the bulb harness the same way and fasten the light cover back into place using the plastic rivet.

Saves time because both bulbs and light covers are exactly the same style, there is no left or right. Cheers!

SOURCE: car keys locked in trunk of 1999 lexus es 300

1. I presume your button on the dash (which opens the trunk) is not working. You could take that button out of the dash panel and manually activate the circuit by using the wires themselves.
2. If the "valet" key doesn't fit the trunk lock, see if the keys are visible through the center back seat access 'hole', make a wire hook attached to a broom handle, etc. and try to catch the ring the key is on. If the view is blocked by other things you can't move, figure out at way to move things in the trunk so you can get something to reach the key(s). Do you have other metal keys on the same keyring? If so, use a magnet to grab the whole set.
3. Have you considered taking out the rear seat? Do the bottom seat cushion first, then the back.
4. By now you have hopefully already gotten your keys back out of the trunk, but if not I hope one of these suggestions works. MW

LExus 300 ES 93 is overheating. My fan doesn't spin.

check the basic, from fuse and relay engine cooling . have the fan check making sure the fans motor is good, does the fans come on at all when the engine has been running for while, if not it can be the switch, i would go ahead and replace them both thermostats and thermostats switch if you haven't done it. Thermostat switch has to be good, which it turn on and off the cooling fan. Thermostat (work like a valve) has to also operate properly other wise the fluid will continue to flow hot or not flow at all. thermostats will cost 7-8 bucks and the switch cost 47-50 bucks.
