There is a sensor in the S.I.R. and if it is not replaced properly it show an error code. Try to do a hard reset. (Disconnect the battery and let it sit for 24 hours) good luck.

2009 chevy impala left front side deployment loop resistance B0014 above threshold

the following link covers yours reqest The driver frontal loops 1 and 2 are the loops to the steering wheel air bag. The SDM(sensing and diagnostic module for the air bag) is seeing these circuits as open. There is a bullitin for problems with a loose connection for the yellow connector behind the left kick panel(right behind the e brake and hood release). I would remove the kick panel, and disconnect and reconnect the connector a couple times. See if the light goes out. Or wiggle and move the connector with the key on, as the light should go out if it makes good connection. If it does go out you need to replace this connector. Good luck.

Don't Do This

Test for proper connection/high resistance at connector C221 and/or C222.

DO NOT replace SIR system components prior to testing for proper connection/high resistance in C221 and/or for DTCs B0013, B0014, B0017, B0018, B0024, B0026, B0043, B0044.

Caution: When performing service on or near the SIR components or the SIR wiring, the SIR system must be disabled. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zones. Failure to observe the correct procedure could cause deployment of the SIR components, personal injury, or unnecessary SIR system repairs.

Important:
The IP harness to inflatable restraint module connectors C221 or C222 is NOT located at the base of the steering column.
• C221 (4 Cavities) -- I/P Harness to Body Harness, behind the left kick panel
• C222 (4 Cavities) (w/o HP2) -- I/P harness to body harness, behind the right kick panel
• C222 (4 Cavities) (w/HP2) -- Behind the left side I/P access panel
• Refer to the Master Electrical Component List for additional location information.

2002 chevy truck.Code B0026

Hello and welcome. code B0026 is for a airbag malfunction. this code will require a high end scan tool, like a GM tech 2 scan tool to check out.this code is related to a deployment loop problem on the drivers side of vehicle

• DTC B0026 will set when one of the following conditions occurs:
- The SDM detects the steering wheel module deployment loop resistance is greater than 4.8 ? for 500 milliseconds. - The SDM detects the voltage at steering wheel module high signal is less than 2.4 volts and steering wheel module deployment loop resistance is 6 ? or greater for 500 milliseconds. The inflatable restraint steering wheel module deployment loop consists of a steering wheel module, steering wheel module coil, steering wheel module high signal circuit, and steering wheel module low signal circuit. Shorting bars are used on the steering wheel module connector as well as the steering wheel module coil connector which will short together the steering wheel module high and steering wheel module low signal circuits when the connector is disconnected. This will help to prevent unwanted deployment of the inflator module during servicing. When the ignition is turned ON, the inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) performs continuous diagnostic tests on the deployment loops to check for proper circuit continuity and for shorts to ground or voltage. If a malfunction is detected, a DTC will be stored.
